Official: Liverpool vs. AC Milan starting XIs – two changes from Arsenal defeat

Massimiliano Allegri has named his starting eleven for AC Milan’s second friendly clash of the pre-season, taking on Liverpool in Hong Kong.

After the defeat against Arsenal, the Rossoneri are hoping to get a better result from today’s game against Liverpool. Arne Slots’s men have a lot of quality, however, so Allegri will perhaps see it more as a test than a must-win (as he should).

Mike Maignan and Youssouf Fofana, two important players, have both recovered for the game and the new signing Pervis Estupinan is also part of the squad. Saying that, the Rossoneri are still without a striker.

Compared to the game against Arsenal, Allegri has decided to make two changes: Maignan for Pietro Terracciano and Fofana for Yunus Musah. It was also reported that Matteo Gabbia would replace Strahinja Pavlovic, but the Serbian has kept his place (after shaking off a minor cold).

Official Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Thiaw, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Loftus-Cheek, Ricci, Fofana, Bartesaghi; Pulisic, Leao.

Bench: Terracciano, Torriani, Estupinan, Okafor, Jimenez, Chukqueze, Terracciano F., Colombo, Comotto, Dutu, Bondo, Gabbia, Musah, Magni, Liberali.

Official Liverpool XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Stephenson, Morton, van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Gravenberch; Ngumoha, Wirtz, Elliott; Salah.

Bench: Woodman, Mamardashvili, Konaté, Jones, Gakpo, Tsimikas, Doak, Kerkez, Frimpong, Bradley, Nyoni.
