AC Milan, this afternoon, have released the squad list for the pre-season tour and there are some interesting choices.
With the squad setting off for Asia today, as reported recently, it is no surprise for the club to publish a list of those who will be heading away. However, there are certainly a few names of intrigue, both included and missed.
The squad
Reports, today, have already stated that the squad for these friendlies is incomplete, and the team list, published by Milan, gives a further representation of this.
Goalkeepers: Maignan, Raveyre, P. Terracciano, Torriani.
Defenders: Bartesaghi, Duțu, Gabbia, Jiménez, Magni, Pavlović, F. Terracciano, Thiaw, Tomori.
Midfielders: Bondo, Comotto, Fofana, Loftus-Cheek, Musah, Pulisic, Ricci, Saelemaekers.
Attackers: Chukwueze, Colombo, Leão, Liberali, Okafor.
In terms of the defence, there are no real questions to be asked. Though the full-back choices are certainly interesting to say the least, especially with Tommaso Pobega not listed, despite it being suggested as an option. However, he is nearing a move away, which explains his absence.
In midfield, Christian Comotto’s name is a nice addition, more so considering the liking that Massimiliano Allegri has taken to the midfielder.
Leading the line, there are certainly questions to be asked, namely the whereabouts of Santiago Gimenez. Considering he just finished his international duties, though, he will probably be on holiday.
