Official: Milan Primavera change venue for opening home game vs. Sassuolo – the reasons

AC Milan’s Primavera side will not play their first home game of the new season at the PUMA House of Football, it has been confirmed.

Milan Primavera vs. Sassuolo – round two of the Primavera1 season scheduled for Monday, August 25 at 16:30 CEST – will be played at the Sportitalia Village in Carate Brianza. This has been confirmed by the club, who put a tweet out about the news earlier this afternoon.

According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri have been forced to make the venue change due to work at the PUMA House of Football. Milan’s U19 team will temporarily relocate to Novara for their home matches in the coming weeks.

The problem arose due to the negligence of the Lega Serie C which – without looking at the Primavera 1 calendar – scheduled Novara vs. Inter U23 on the same day. Thus, the Rossoneri team were forced to find another new pitch for the second league game, and they will go to Brianza.

As a reminder, there have been some big changes to the Primavera this summer, above all the appointment of a new head coach. Federico Guidi left to return to Roma, and Giovanni Renna was promoted from the U17s to take his spot.
