Official: Udinese vs. AC Milan starting XIs – two changes from Bologna win

AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has named his starting line-up for what will be a tricky away game against Udinese.

Both teams should go into the game with confidence given that it is an early-season battle between fourth and fifth in the table at the Bluenergy Stadium. Udinese have already beaten Inter at San Siro, and have taken seven points from three games, with the importance of the game not lost on Allegri.

In terms of injury news, Rafael Leao will miss the game as he continues to recover from a calf problem. He is targeting the Napoli match next weekend but Mike Maignan – also out with a calf issue – is tipped to return against Lecce in midweek.

One of the forced changes is in goal therefore, with Pietro Terracciano coming to replace Maignan. The three-man defence in front of him will be Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia (the captain) and Strahinja Pavlovic.

Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupinan are the right and left wing-back respectively. The midfield three chosen is Youssouf Fofana, Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot, behind a front two of Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez.

Official Milan XI (3-5-2): Terracciano; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Estupinan; Gimenez, Pulisic.
