This morning, AS Roma have announced the signing of Devis Vasquez on a two-year deal after the goalkeeper left AC Milan.
Things never worked out for Milan and Vasquez, who was signed from Guarani in January two years ago for a nominal fee. However, it is not for a lack of trying; the goalkeeper enjoyed three loan spells, most recently playing a full season at Empoli.
However, it was not like he was going to get minutes for the Rossoneri this season, with a good group of young goalkeepers progressing and Lorenzo Torriani taking the third spot in the first team. So, the parties opted to end the contract by mutual consent last week.
New club
Now, he has already found a new club, and the Diavolo links have remained. In fact, he has now re-linked with Frederic Massara, who brought the young goalkeeper to the club in 2023, in Rome, where he was announced this morning.

On the Giallorossi’s website, the club revealed that he had signed a two-year deal.
“AS Roma is delighted to announce the signing of Devis Vasquez.
“The 27-year-old goalkeeper – born in Barranquilla, Colombia, on 12 May 1998 – has penned a two-year deal with the club until 30 June 2027.
He spent last year at Empoli, making 32 Serie A appearances. Vasquez has picked the No.32 jersey.
“Welcome to Roma, Devis!”
