Atalanta have officially announced the signing of Yunus Musah from AC Milan on an initial loan deal.
Musah’s fate has been uncertain throughout the summer, with talk of an imminent move to Napoli then followed up by rumours that Massimiliano Allegri desperately wanted to keep him at Milan, while Premier League sides were linked too.
Over the weekend, Atalanta accelerated their pursuit of the American while Milan closed in on his replacement Adrien Rabiot. Now, Musah’s move has been confirmed.
Musah to Atalanta: Now official
On their official website, Atalanta write the following: “Atalanta BC are pleased to announce the acquisition, on a temporary basis until June 30 2026 with an option for a permanent transfer, of the sporting rights of the eclectic 22-year-old midfielder Yunus Musah from AC Milan.
“The Percassi and Pagliuca families, and the entire Atalanta club, warmly welcome Yunus Musah, wishing him the very best – both individually and collectively – wearing the Nerazzurri jersey.”
Fabrizio Romano announced as part of his ‘here we go’ tweet that it will be a €4m loan with a €25m option to buy, while Milan will reserve a 10% resale clause in case Musah is sold on.
