Last weekend, AC Milan beat Roma by a goal to nil. A textbook performance in the Massimiliano Allegri handbook, and one that frustrated the Giallorossi.
The win against Roma only further cemented those maybes that surround Milan’s season currently. Beating another Scudetto contender, after already beating Napoli, is something that only adds to excitement.
Ultimately, it is becoming more and more difficult to say the Rossoneri are not in the race. It may not be the goal, but at this rate, the possibility will be noticed. For Allegri, it is a case of one game at a time, as it always has been.
Given the results it is bringing, many will also take things one game at a time, but also keep an eye on an already favourable-looking table.
Mancini annoyed
Speaking recently about the loss at San Siro, Giallorossi defender Gianluca Mancini spoke about the performance and his frustrations, as relayed by All Milan.
“We agree with what the coach said; the game proved it. It was an intense match on both sides. The only regret was the result. What we did, what we built, the improvements we saw on the pitch, what we did with that conviction, with that strength throughout the match, because you can’t last 90 minutes.
“But what we did is something that gives us the confidence to work for these games and the next games with even more awareness of what we’re doing.”

“In football, it has to be there and it must always be high, but not from Sunday’s game, but from previous matches, against Inter, I already remember Sassuolo, against Parma, against Milan. We players try things with the coach in training.
“Maybe in the games at the start of the season we didn’t play the same games as we have recently, so this gives you the confidence to say that we know how to do it, we can do it. We also see how our opponents look at us, how they tackle us, so we just have to keep going like this, hoping to always do better.”
