Ordine aims jab at Allegri after Parma collapse: “Like Conceicao or even Fonseca”

Franco Ordine aimed a jab at Massimiliano Allegri in his post-match column for Parma-Milan, stating that the second-half performance was reminiscent of Sergio Conceicao and Paulo Fonseca.

After what was an important win against Roma, winning despite experiencing difficulties, Milan headed into the game against Parma with a lot of confidence. Things started well too, as Alexis Saelemaekers and Rafael Leao found the back of the net.

However, a late goal in the first half for Parma back into the game and at the start of the second half, they completely took over. The second goal arrived and as argued by Franco Ordine for Corriere dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews), the collapse was reminiscent of last season.

“Allegri’s new Milan is still under construction. The transformation process from last season’s roller coaster is only halfway complete. The Rossoneri lasted for just one half against Parma, or rather, a few minutes less than a half. The minutes needed for Bernabè to turn the evening around.

“The other Milan, the one we saw in the second half, stuttering and undisciplined, timid and disorganised, seemed like that of Conceicao or even Fonseca, who suffered the first resounding defeat of his tenure in Parma,” he writes.

Allegri knows the above, having already criticised the performance and attitude in his post-match interview. Still, it’s becoming a problem that we have seen it so many times this season already, so the gaffer will have to find an actual solution.
