Enzo Maresca has minimal key Chelsea absentees after Cole Palmer's return, but one hugely influential player will miss the Premier League clash against Bournemouth
Everything you need to know about the latest Chelsea injury news alongside suspension absences and concerns ahead of their Premier League clash against Bournemouth this Saturday...
- Moises Caicedo (central midfielder) is suspended and will miss the next two Premier League matches (against Bournemouth and Everton) after receiving a straight red card for serious foul play against Arsenal. He will, however, be available for the Champions League match against Atalanta.
- Cole Palmer (attacker) has returned to training and was available for selection to face Arsenal after recovering from a toe fracture and a groin injury. He came on for the final 29 minutes against Leeds and could therefore be available from the start for the trip to Bournemouth.
- Romeo Lavia (central midfielder) is still recovering from a thigh injury. His return is not expected until the new year, potentially for the match against Manchester City on January 4th.
- Dario Essugo (central midfielder) returned to training recently after undergoing surgery, but Enzo Maresca hinted at a possible setback when stating that "he needs to slow down a little bit" with his expected return also in the new year.
- Levi Colwill (centre-back) is a long-term absentee after undergoing surgery for an ACL injury just before the start of the 2025/26 season. The defender is expected to be sidelined for a significant period, potentially for the entire campaign.
- Marc Cucurella (left-back) and Estevao Willian (winger) are both on three yellow cards with two more bookings before Premier League game-week 19 resulting in a one-match ban.
