Manchester United great Paul Scholes didn't hide his true feelings towards Man City when asked which side he would like to see win the Premier League this season.
Paul Scholes has made it crystal clear he would rather see Arsenal win the Premier League than Manchester City - giving an X-rated answer on a podcast. Arsenal are well‑positioned at the top of the table, six points ahead of City in second position as things stand.
During an appearance on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast - with Nicky Butt - Scholes was asked which team he would like to see lift the trophy at the end of the season. "Arsenal," he said promptly.
"But when you look at our choices, Man City, Liverpool, I know not so much Liverpool this year but Arsenal, it's got to be Arsenal."
Comedian Paddy McGuinness then jumped in: "I thought you'd want, I know it sounds crazy saying City, but they're a Manchester team."
The United icon Scholes replied: "No! That's the last team you'd want to win it. We f****** hate City."
United have enjoyed a great start under interim head coach, Michael Carrick, winning three games on the bounce - against Man City and Arsenal incidentally, as well as Fulham.

As a result, they have climbed to fourth place in the Premier League, following their third successive 3‑2 win over Fulham at Old Trafford last weekend.
They now sit five points from third‑placed Aston Villa and six from neighbours City.
Carrick is not getting ahead of himself following an unbeaten start, though, and he has urged his players to do the same. "I'm not getting carried away," he said.
"We've got some bigger games coming up, because every next game's the bigger game. We're not getting carried away, we've got really important things coming up that we need to kind of keep improving with.
"There's a lot of emotion and a lot of energy and a lot of confidence that you can take from that, but [you have to] be humble and understand how we've got these results, that's really important moving forward."
Arsenal, meanwhile, came away 4-0 winners at Leeds, while City's were held to a 2-2 draw against Tottenham and Villa lost at home to Brentford.
