Milan Futuro began life in Serie D in ideal fashion as they came from behind to win their opening league game against Pavia.
After a dull first half without much action, Pavia got the first goal of the game in the fourth minute of the second half. It came against the run of play, with Alfiero firing in to put the home side ahead.
Entering the final 10 minutes of the game, it looked like the Futuro were heading for defeat. However, Branca drew the scores level having only come on three minutes prior, and that was the spark the team needed.
In the 88th minute, the comeback was complete. Sia got the assist as he set up Perina, who finished the chance brilliantly to make it 2-1 to Massimo Oddo’s men.
In the fourth minute of added time Max Ibrahimovic really should have put the game to bed as he found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but didn’t convert the opportunity.
