Francesco Camarda’s path, currently, is firmly upwards, and AC Milan will have him back at the club next season. However, what role he plays must be decided.
Given the situation with Santiago Gimenez and Christopher Nkunku, there is a case that could be made about Camarda’s use now. However, if the season had gone how the club expected, the Italian would be struggling to get a look in.
Ultimately, last season, they had him available when needed, and his development was potentially set off-course a little. Now, though, he is getting regular Serie A minutes, and he can hope to return with a view to the future.
Camarda and Milan
With the Italian U21 team, he is flying. He already looks very comfortable for the Azzurrini, and that is only a good thing for all parties. Continuing this form into Serie A, then, is the next step, and he can be hopeful.
MilanNews, this morning, relays words from Carlo Pellegatti about his situation, and what must be done…
“On a night of important and extraordinary goals, like McTominay’s overhead kick, for example, another important goal was scored by our Francesco Camarda, a beautiful shot from the inside of the right corner, one of four goals scored by Silvio Baldini’s Italy in their 4-1 victory over Montenegro.

“A great goal by Camarda, a player who is constantly improving. Let’s hope they manage him well. Allegri will have him back next year.
“Let’s hope it’s immediately clear whether Milan needs him or whether another year as a starter somewhere will benefit him, to have him at his peak, his physical and mental condition. If Massimiliano Allegri evaluates him at his peak next year, next season, we’ll be happy.”
