Agent Giuseppe Bozzo believes that AC Milan should have considered letting his former client Alvaro Morata work under Massimiliano Allegri.
Morata was heavily linked with a move to Milan during the 2017 summer window in which the club spent over €200m under new Chinese ownership. The No.9 was the missing piece for many, with Andre Silva and Nikola Kalinic eventually failing to get the job done.
The Spaniard eventually did join the Rossoneri during the most 2024 summer transfer window but ended up leaving after six months at the club in favour of a switch to Turkey. His loan there was then ended early and Como came calling, so he is now with his compatriot Cesc Fabregas by the lake.
‘Perfect for Max’s needs’
Bozzo used to look after Morata’s interests and he brought him to Italy when Juventus signed him. The agent was interviewed by Tuttosport and his comments were relayed by MilanPress.

“And to think that in 2017 he was really one step away from AC Milan. The Chinese owners wanted him, they were very close to signing him. He wanted to return to Italy, but the delays in the Rossoneri’s closing complicated everything.
“Would he have done well in the new AC Milan? From a hunch, given the relationship they had in Turin, I think so. But it’s hard to say for sure.
“Allegri makes the attackers play well, he enhances them like few others in Europe. Morata was perfect for Max’s needs: he sacrificed himself completely for his Juve.”
