Olivier Giroud’s bond with AC Milan remains strong as evidenced by one of his Instagram posts earlier today, showing off an Andriy Shevchenko shirt.
Giroud spent three seasons with the red and black shirt, winning a Scudetto and reaching the Champions League semi-finals in that period. With 49 goals and 20 assists to his name as well, including the iconic brace against Inter, the fans sure do appreciate him.
On his Instagram earlier today, the striker showed that his bond with Milan remains strong. Indeed, as the original post suggests, he requested the shirt from a company that resells classic shirts and got it delivered to him.
The eagle-eyed among you will have spotted that it’s the away shirt for the 2003-04 season, when the Rossoneri won the Scudetto and Sheva was the top goalscorer. They lost just two games that season, finishing nine points ahead of Roma in second place.
