Photos: Cardinale’s Italy trip over after squad meeting and Casa Milan visit

1 week ago 13

Today, Gerry Cardinale returned to Milanello to meet with the squad, as well as take part in some meetings with key AC Milan staff.

There have been several complaints in recent months, and beyond, regarding the lack of visibility for Cardinale at Milan. However, he has not faded from the frontline, keeping in regular contact with the management.

Of course, he also has his ‘vessel’ in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who acts on his behalf in the best interest of the football club, whilst representing RedBird in a more local sense than what the owner can do, given his base in America.

Nevertheless, today he returned to Italy after business meetings in Europe, and he met several members of the Milan squad. This was not his only reason for the trip, though.

He also met with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Giorgio Furlani and Igli Tare to discuss the situation of the club and presumably the finances, as well as having a meeting with Massimiliano Allegri.

Then, as Calciomercato.com writes, in the afternoon, he headed to Casa Milan to meet Scaroni, Cocirio and Oettle for lunch. At 2:30, he then left Milano, meaning he will not be sticking around for this weekend’s game.

Below, some pictures from his visit can be seen.
