AC Milan got the better of Lecce in the Coppa Italia at San Siro on Tuesday night, prevailing 3-0 to reach the last 16.

The scoreline makes it look comfortable, but in truth the margin could have been even greater as the stats show that Milan had nine big chances. The early red card for Jamil Siebert is what turned an already daunting prospect for Lecce into a nightmare scenario.

Santiago Gimenez got the opener not long after the sending off, his first of the season, then Christopher Nkunku opened his account for Milan with an acrobatic finish. Christian Pulisic made sure of the victory as he netted minutes after coming on, and it finished a three-goal win in the end.
