Private jet overtaking and radio chants: Fenerbahce mock Milan with Brown announcement

Archie Brown is officially a new Fenerbahçe player, and the deal was announced in a way that will raise some eyebrows at Milan.

Brown himself admitted in an interview with Fabrizio Romano that he was ‘ready to go’ to Milan as of Friday night. However, the Fenerbahce president made a phone call that ultimately changed all the cards on the table.

“The deal was basically done with AC Milan. I was ready to go. But then, I got a call from Fenerbahçe president overnight. That changed everything. The passion he showed, the vision… it made the decision clear. I knew I had to come to Fener,” he said.

Having beaten Milan in the race for the English full-back and with the reasons for it established, you would be forgiven for thinking that would be the end of it. However, Fenerbahce decided to have one final jab at the Rossoneri on social media.

Brown’s announcement presentation features two planes (clearly depicting Milan and Fenerbahçe), with the one in the colours of the Turkish club have overtaken Milan. The radio on the plane is playing AC Milan chants and songs, and the defender asks the pilot to change the station.
