Pub Chat with Lorenzo and Stefano: Gimenez MIA amid striker struggles

In the latest edition of Pub Chat, Lorenzo and Stefano delved deeper into Milan’s evident lack of a striker, especially since Santiago Gimenez has now been out for quite some time with an injury.

The 2-2 draw against Sassuolo gave us quite a few takeaways, as we highlighted in our usual five things we learned piece, and one of them was definitely the lack of depth. Once again, Max Allegri didn’t really have any attacking weapons on the bench.

Instead, Sassuolo won the ‘substitute battle’ by bringing on Armand Lauriente, who caused havoc for the Milan defence with a goal and then a shot that hit the post. In other words, a newly-promoted side had better options than the Rossoneri on the bench.
