AC Milan are back in Serie A action tonight as they host Lazio at San Siro, hoping to take top spot at least for the time being.
Milan come into the game riding the crest of a wave having beaten Inter on Sunday in the derby, which moved them above their city rivals and up into second. However, Lazio have recovered well after a rocky start to 2025-26, and Maurizio Sarri coming to town always promises fireworks.
The headlines since the derby have been dominated by two players. The first is Mike Maignan, who made multiple top-class saves including from a Hakan Calhanoglu penalty, but his renewal situation is up in the air. The second is Christian Pulisic, who scored the winner but is out injured.
