Pulisic undisputed MOTM: Player ratings for Udinese-Milan from Italian papers

2 hours ago 13

AC Milan clinched all three points against Udinese on Saturday evening and it was largely thanks to Christian Pulisic, who bagged a brace. The player ratings from the newspapers this morning were far from surprising, as such.

Despite the defeat against Cremonese, it has been a good start to the season for Milan, now on three consecutive wins. Yesterday’s performance was even more of a statement as it wasn’t a narrow win, and a clean sheet was kept once again.

With two goals and an assist, Pulisic was named the MOTM in our player ratings and the newspapers agree. Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport both gave him an 8/10, which is hard to argue against.

The rest of the ratings differed a little, with Gazzetta being a bit more generous (rightfully so, we would argue, though). They did, however, agree on the worst player as Santiago Gimenez was given a 5/10 by Gazzetta and 5.5/10 by CorSport.

Notable mentions include Youssouf Fofana, Adrien Rabiot, and Luka Modric, though the latter’s rating in Corriere dello Sport is questionable (only 6.5/10!)

Gazzetta dello Sport’s ratings

8: Pulisic.

7.5: Fofana, Modric, Rabiot,

7: Saelemaekers, Estupinan.

6.5: Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic, Loftus-Cheek.

6: Terracciano, Nkunku, Ricci, De Winter.

5: Gimenez.

Corriere dello Sport’s ratings
