Ahead of tonight’s big clash between AC Milan and Inter, Adrien Rabiot spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the timely return.
Rabiot sustained a calf injury while on international duty with France in October. It meant he had to be sidelined for five games, which affected Milan’s performances, but tonight he’s back from start. The timing certainly couldn’t have been any better as Inter are the opponents.
Speaking to DAZN in a pre-match interview, as transcribed by MilanNews, Rabiot shared his thoughts on the game and his physical condition. Even though it’s an important game, the midfielder also said that it’s a lot of fun to play in fixtures like this one.
You are back in action…
“I’m happy to be back, I missed being on the pitch. A match like this is just pure excitement and fun, I’m happy.”
Have you spoken to Thuram this week?
“We didn’t speak to each other. We were both focused on the match. It will be a great match. They are ready, and so are we. We worked well.”
The likes of Youssouf Fofana and Luka Modric are starting alongside the former Juventus man in midfield, while Davide Bartesaghi will be the wing-back on his side of the pitch. Hopefully, Milan will have a much better balance with their No.12 back.
