Record: Milan to contest City Group and European clubs for Amorim signing

The AC Milan midfield looks quite strong currently, but another name could be added to it in January, with scouts present for a game in Portugal. 

Looking at the team and the January mercato, the midfield is probably the one area where Milan look quite comfortable. Of course, there are a few issues that could maybe be strengthened, and the numbers could be better.

However, in a window where there is not much budget available, it is not a priority.

Amorim to Milan?

Nevertheless, that is not stopping the Rossoneri from taking a look at opportunities available to them. In fact, the club are actively scouting a midfielder from the Portuguese league.

As the Portuguese outlet Record writes, via MilanPress, the Diavolo were present to watch a game between Alverca and Estoril, with Alexsandro Amorim the player of interest. The young midfielder is a heavily discussed topic at present, with a host of European elites interested in him.

In fact, scouts from the City Group were also in attendance, alongside other scouts from France, Italy, the Netherlands and Portugal.

Whilst the midfielder has stated that he is not focusing on a move at present, the interest in him is certainly tangible. At least where Milan are concerned, a move would not really make sense at this moment, unless money and/or space were to be freed in the midfield. Perhaps with the sale of Ruben Loftus-Cheek
