Tijjani Reijnders, currently on international duty with the Dutch national team, has weighed in on the Scudetto race in Italy.

Reijnders left Milan for Manchester City in the summer, following what was a very good season with the Rossoneri. The 15 goals and 5 assists caught the attention of many clubs and the Etihad side didn’t waste any time, quickly getting the deal over the line.

Currently, the midfielder is with the Dutch national team for the World Cup Qualifiers. He came off the bench in the 1-1 draw against Poland and afterwards, he was interviewed by the Italian outlet SportMediaset. When asked about the Scudetto, he said he believes Milan can do it.

“Milan have a chance of winning it this year. They’re doing a great job. I really hope Milan get their second star,” he began.

Reijnders was also asked about the upcoming Derby della Madonnina, which is scheduled for next Sunday. It’s an opportunity for the Rossoneri to prove they deserve to be at the top of the standings, and the former Rossoneri man will be watching on.

“I will definitely watch the match, there’s no doubt about it. And I’ll support Milan; they’re really doing a good job at the moment. The derby will obviously be a tough match, the Derby della Madonnina is tough, but I’m confident that Milan will be able to get the three points,” he concluded.
