Report: Arsenal ready to trigger €50m clause to beat Milan to Real Madrid talent

AC Milan face competition from Arsenal to land Real Madrid talent Victor Valdepenas, and they are apparently readying a big offer.

Milan are always keeping an eye out on young talent around Europe, and Valdepeñas is the latest name from Real Madrid to enter their radar, after having previous signed the likes of Theo Hernandez, Brahim Diaz and Alex Jimenez.

Arsenal vs. Milan for Valdepeñas?

According to MediaFoot in France, Valdepenas – a versatile defender capable of shining both as a full-back and even as a wing-back – is attracting interest from abroad. Fierce competition from the likes of Antonio Rüdiger and Dean Huijsen could push the young Spaniard to seek playing time elsewhere.

They confirm Matteo Moretto’s report stating that Milan want the teenager and are counting on their excellent historical relationship with Real Madrid, strengthened by the signings mentioned previously.

However, the real danger comes from London. Arsenal, under Mikel Arteta, have made signing Valdepenas an ‘absolute priority’. The Gunners are reportedly ready to make a big splash by triggering his €50m release clause, a sum that would stop any attempt by Real Madrid to keep him.

Sporting director Andrea Berta is prepared to make a move if the player expresses a desire to leave. Arsenal are also closely monitoring other key Madrid players like Rodrygo and Endrick, and the Rossoneri are likely to be unable to match any financial package.
