Reports: ‘A low figure’ – Milan may only pay €5m for Fullkrug in summer

It seemed that AC Milan would pay a much larger sum for Niclas Fullkrug if they bought him in the summer. However, this is not the case.

A lot has been said about the deal for Fullkrug and one of the most important things has been the cost of his purchase. Of course, the deal is a loan for now, but it could become permanent in six months.

For now, the German will arrive seeking a chance to return to form after a difficult 18 months spent in Europe. However, he could find a new home with Milan if he hits the ground running straight away, which is the dream.

It seemed like the price of his permanent arrival would be in the region of €12-13 million, but this has now been clarified. Matteo Moretto spoke about the situation on his X, via Radio Rossonera.

“The redemption right is about 5 million euros. Ready a contract until the end of the season plus another year.”

Further clarification also arrived from Gianluca Di Marzio, stating that the deal would not be nearly as costly as first imagined, via MilanNews.

“The operation is different from the Boniface one, there it was an important purchase. The right of redemption surprised us, too. It’s €5m as a redemption right, a low figure, really. He strongly wanted Milan also for the World Cup, which he would like to win with Germany.”
