Alex Jimenez is by all intents and purposes now officially a Bournemouth player on a permanent basis, reports claim.
Just when it looked like Jimenez would remain to be part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans, Milan made the decision in the summer to allow him to join Bournemouth on an initial loan deal. Now, his stay on the south coast will become a permanent one.
Jimenez a permanent cherry
According to Di Marzio, Jimenez made the switch to the Premier League via the formula of a 12-month loan with an option to buy that became an obligation if certain things were ticked off during the season.
On Saturday, all the conditions agreed between Milan and Bournemouth regarding the full-back’s obligation to buy were met, given that he was a starter against Aston Villa the break that particular threshold. As per the report, the fee received will be €19m plus €5m in bonuses for the Rossoneri.

MilanNews confirm the development, but add some more information. It should be noted that not all of the money will end up in Milan’s accounts: half of it will go to Real Madrid, who secured a 50% resale clause when they let Jimenez join Milan.
So far this season, Jimenez has made 22 appearances for Bournemouth in the Premier League and FA Cup, also scoring one goal (in the league on January 24 against Liverpool). Having arrived at Milanello in the summer of 2023, his ties to Milan are now fully cut.
