Reports are continuing to come in regarding AC Milan’s latest imminent signing: Colombian talent Juan David Arizala.
On Thursday and seemingly out of nowhere, Matteo Moretto revealed that Milan are closing in on a deal to sign Arizala, who recently starred at the U20 World Cup for Colombia in their third-placed finish. Then, Fabrizio Romano gave the ‘here we go’ in a further update a few hours later.
More details emerge
According to Colombia-based journalist Pipe Sierra, Arizala is indeed ‘very close’ to becoming a new Milan player. The full-back would leave Deportivo Independiente Medellin for a figure of close to €3m, which wouldn’t be far off a record for the league.
However, he goes on to add that the operation has not been fully closed yet, as the two teams are waiting for the season to finish in South America to finalise the last details.

Meanwhile, MilanNews add that Arizala will be in Italy immediately after his team’s two-legged Colombian Cup final against Atlético Nacional in the coming days. The official match dates for that final have not yet been announced.
After the second leg, the young defender will depart for Milano for a medical and to sign his contract. Arizala ‘pushed hard to join AC Milan’ as soon as the management knocked on his club’s door, it is added.
