AC Milan will once again be backed by a bumper crowd for today’s game against Bologna at San Siro, a report claims.
Despite a mixed start to the season for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, MilanNews report that the fans have decided to once again rally behind Milan for tonight’s important match at San Siro against the team they lost the cup final to.
In fact, around 70,000 supporters will attend the game, with the hope that things will obviously go much better than the first game of the season in the league against Cremonese, a 2-1 defeat.
According to Il Resto del Carlino (via MilanNews), only 500 Bologna fans will be following Vincenzo Italiano’s team. They will occupy the third tier, the away section, and the reason is solidarity with the Milan ultras.
Bologna fans align with the Curva Sud and Curva Nord of AC Milan and Inter, who are under investigation by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office, which has led to the two clubs barring some fans from season ticket sales.
Even before the break, at the Bologna-Como match at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, the Rossoblu supporters showed their alignment by stating: “Football is passion, not repression: solidarity with the Milan ultras.”
