Pervis Estupinan will become a new AC Milan player soon, and he is expected to join the squad on their preseason tour.

According to MilanNews, Estupinan will be in Milan today, Wednesday 23 July. He will undergo a routine medical check-up in the city in the next few hours and, most importantly, sign a five-year contract to become Theo Hernandez’s heir on the left flank.

Estupinan will join AC Milan for €17m as a fixed fee and €2m in bonuses, as per multiple reports. The player will then fly to Hong Kong on Thursday the 24th where he will join his new teammates at a training camp.

As a result, the Ecuadorian could already be available for the friendly against Liverpool scheduled for Saturday the 26th, but it remains to be seen if it will be logistically possible. Sky are also reporting the same.

Allegri’s delight

It is good news for Massimiliano Allegri, who has perhaps had to wait a bit longer than he hoped to have a new left-back arriving but will finally get a player that he is delighted with, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Interestingly, Estupinan’s last match was last May against Liverpool as he started in the 3-2 win on the penultimate round of the last league season. His first for Milan could against the Reds, if the timing permits.
