Reports: Harder a leading candidate but Milan also have other Boniface alternatives

8 hours ago 24

AC Milan could abandon their signing of Victor Boniface at the last second, due to a questionable medical, and they have several names on the list of alternatives.

Boniface has completed his medical for the Rossoneri, which included additional tests earlier today to get to the bottom of his right knee. A final decision is expected to be made tomorrow but as there are concerns about the player’s condition, Milan are also monitoring alternatives.

According to Luca Bianchin, the Rossoneri could make a move for Conrad Harder of Sporting, either instead of Boniface or in addition to him. Contacts are ongoing, while the likes of Breel Embolo (Monaco) and Tolu Arokodare (Genk) are on the table as well.

Big names remain

As added by Pietro Mazzara, Milan are still keeping the talks with Rasmus Hojlund, Nicolas Jackson and Dusan Vlahovic alive as well. Napoli are pushing for the signing of the Dane, while Aston Villa have come forward for the Chelsea man. That leaves just the Serbian.

Contacts with various agents are ongoing as we speak, so it’s possible that another name could enter the frame as well. First things first, however, Milan will have to make a final decision on Boniface – expected to arrive after the game tonight or tomorrow.

It remains to be seen how the saga will end but it’s clear that the Rossoneri need a striker as soon as possible, with Serie A starting tonight.
