This morning, Como contacted AC Milan regarding a move for Alex Jimenez. Now, those talks have seemingly advanced.
There has been occasional interest in Jimenez this summer, with Napoli really posing the biggest threat. However, they walked away when they realised a permanent deal was not possible. This appears to no longer be the case, though.
Jimenez to go?
Earlier today, Matteo Moretto reported that contact had been made, with things now looking a lot further down the line.
As MilanNews write, contact is ongoing between the parties, and there is an aim to clarify the deal as it currently is. Right now, Cesc Fabregas’ side are looking for a loan deal with the option to buy.
This is also reported by Nicolo Schira, who states that the Spaniard is ‘getting closer’ to Como, importantly, with the buy option included in the loan. Already, he has given his approval to the exit, so talks continue.

Things could be made interesting with Real Madrid’s involvement, considering they have a buy-back clause for the Spaniard, so they are also involved in the talks.
Massimiliano Allegri opted to bring the defender on during Cremonese for the second half, so it will be interesting whether another defender is sought.
