There is a chance that the Curva Sud will return to San Siro for Sunday’s huge game against Napoli, according to reports.
As La Repubblica (via MilanPress) report this morning, the captain’s message is a message from the team making it clear that everyone wants the Curva Sud and its support back. Mike Maignan published an Instagram story that had a picture of the Curva with the comment: ‘Missing’.
The paper claims that there is a ‘good chance’ that the Ultras will return for the game at the weekend. Since the start of the season, four matches have been played at San Siro, all accompanied by silence in the stadium and the second blue tier in particular.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport meanwhile, what leaks from the team is that they will face the Italian champions on Sunday ‘with an extra man, a twelfth ready to lend support’. It is currently anticipated that the Curva will return, but it will likely take an official statement to confirm.
It has been reported recently that Milan had made an effort with the authorities and with the group to try and reach some kind of agreement that would see them come back to the stadium. The reports this morning suggest they have made progress.
