Reports: Milan and Leverkusen agree Boniface deal – agent due in Italy for final step

AC Milan are closing in on a deal for Victor Boniface, and the player could arrive for his medical before the weekend it seems.

After days of talk about Rasmus Hojlund and Dusan Vlahovic, it seems Milan definitively pivoted to Boniface during talks on Wednesday. The Bayer Leverkusen star was mentioned earlier in the summer as a target before things went quiet, but now they have reignited in a major way.

Thursday the decisive day?

Fabrizio Romano reported last night that Milan and Bayer Leverkusen are preparing the formal exchange of documents after a verbal agreement was reached over Boniface. It will be a loan with a €30m option to buy that is not mandatory.

In a follow-up tweet, he adds that Boniface’s agent is on his way to Italy today for talks with Milan. The personal terms being agreed will be the last step before the completion of the operation.

Matteo Moretto writes: “Victor Boniface’s agent is expected in Italy today to negotiate with Milan. The Rossoneri club have already reached an agreement with Bayer 04 Leverkusen for a loan with an option to buy for approximately €30m. Deal nearing completion.”

Sacha Tavolieri – who we interviewed recently about Ardon Jashari – confirms an agreement was found last night between the clubs and that Boniface wants to join Milan. Only personal terms remain, before the medical process can begin.
