AC Milan didn’t manage to sign Andrej Kostic in the winter window, but they are ready to make another attempt for him.
Milan were heavily linked with a move for Kostic during the weeks leading up to the mid-season mercato, and there was even talk of the player pushing for the move. However, he did not end up joining, with a gap between the clubs over the fee.
Matteo Moretto spoke on a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel and – in addition to commenting on Christopher Nkunku’s situation and Rafael Leao’s potential renewal – he shed some light on Kostic.
“Milan tried until the very end to sign Kostic from Partizan Belgrade. The striker was initially reportedly linked to Milan Futuro. Be careful, because Milan could try to lock Kostic down in the coming weeks ahead of the summer,” he said.
Pursuit not over
According to Calciomercato.com, the teenage striker has already made it clear in recent weeks that he absolutely wants to join Milan. He’s working closely with his agent, Darko Ristic, who also has Dusan Vlahovic (another Milan target) on his client list.

The process is ongoing, and mediation will be crucial in securing the player ahead of June and beating the competition. There is already an agreement on the duration of the contract and the financial terms between the player’s entourage and Milan, which helps.
However, Milan had sent a proposal based on a fixed base offer between €2-3m which could even reach €7-8m with some bonuses. Partizan Belgrade always had a higher fixed base request, also considering that Kostic’s old club Pogdorica will get 20% due to a resale clause,
