Reports: Milan to be without Terracciano for Como trip – young duo to deputise

Massimiliano Allegri is expected to be without his deputy goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano for tonight’s trip to face Como.

After missing Sunday’s trip to face Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, Terracciano is also not expected to travel with the team to Como tonight. As MilanNews and La Gazzetta dello Sport both report, the goalkeeper is still not 100% fit after suffering a fever in recent days.

So, the experienced back-up will not be available to Allegri for tonight’s Serie A match at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Both Lorenzo Torriani and Matteo Pittarella will therefore be deputies for Mike Maignan on the bench.

Of course, the hope is that Milan are not forced to do without their starting goalkeeper at any point during the game, but if a change is needed then it will be up to one of the two academy products to take his place between the posts.

As a reminder, Terracciano has already had to step in for Maignan this season, in the 3-0 away win against Udinese. He didn’t have much to do that night as the Rossoneri were dominant, but for peace of mind Allegri will hope that the 35-year-old is available for Lecce’s visit to San Siro on Sunday.
