This summer, Alvaro Morata has been stuck in limbo, hoping to leave Galatasaray, to leave AC Milan to join Como. A difficult one.
It is probable that Milan will be reluctant to agree to loan deals with mid-season endings in the future after the Morata saga. Something which should have been rather simple was dragged out extensively. Now, it seems to be done, though.
Yesterday, Daniele Longo reported that a move was done, and now the final confirmations are just being awaited. It did take some time to unlock the situation, though.
Inside the deal
As Football Italia relays from the journalist, the Turkish side have not managed to get the €6 million that was requested for his exit. Though they certainly have made a pretty penny from the deal, it must be said.
Gala are set to receive €3m upfront for the deal, which is impressive anyway. Then, they will also receive €2m in bonuses, though there is no specification about how these will/can be achieved. Presumably, it will be performance-related, though.
So, when he returns to Italy, he will do so on loan to Como, who will have an obligatory buy clause in the deal. For this, the Rossoneri will receive €1m upfront for the loan, and when the deal is made permanent, a further €8m will be received.
