Adriano Galliani seemed to be heading towards a return to AC Milan, however reports have now emerged casting doubt.
In the past few weeks it has been reported that Galliani will return to Milan for a second spell at the club, where he was the CEO for 31 years. He was part of an era under Silvio Berlusconi which resulted in 29 trophies won.
Even the reliable Matteo Moretto confirmed that he had been told of a ‘handshake’ being in place between Galliani and owner Gerry Cardinale regarding his return to the Rossoneri. However, things have gone quiet more recently.
‘More no than yes’
Journalist Luca Cohen has provided the following update: “It’s far from certain that Galliani will join the management. I don’t know exactly what happened, but at this moment, there isn’t full approval from the club, despite the strong push from Ibra. As of today, I’m told it’s more no than yes. Let’s see.

“Those who follow the live streams of this stuff know everything. At the beginning of July, when no one was writing about it, I had this news about Galliani and shared it in a live stream, but I didn’t trust the source, so I didn’t write it here. Now it’s the same person telling me this thing, so I have to trust them. Transparency.”
Meanwhile, MilanVibes – run by the journalist Pietro Balzano Prota – report that Galliani’s return to Milan is ‘still on hold’. One of the reasons could be the situation related to the closing of Monza scheduled for September 10.
At the moment, there is still no visibility of the financial guarantees requested by Fininvest. As a reminder, Galliani has pledged to remain at Monza to oversee the closure of the sale, so he would not take another job until that is done.
