Reports: Musah’s Milan exit ‘in a standstill phase’ despite Napoli and Nottingham Forest talks

Igli Tare has remained in England to work on further transfer business, and one of the operations includes the sale of Yunus Musah.

Upon his arrival, Tare knew he would not only have to make targeted acquisitions to improve the squad, but also relieve the burden of some surplus players. Yesterday, for example, the loan of Filippo Terracciano to Cremonese was finalised.

Milan stand firm over Musah

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports, the sporting director working to complete other exits. One concerns Musah, who is being sought by both Nottingham Forest and Napoli. This is also why Tare stayed in England for an extra day yesterday.

Milan’s ideas regarding the American midfielder are clear: he will only leave with an offer of €30m in total. If it doesn’t arrive, Allegri wouldn’t have a problem keeping the player in the squad.

Conversely, solutions are being sought for Samuel Chukwueze, who is considered not a part of the plans. The Yacine Adli and Ismael Bennacer cases also need to be resolved, particularly the latter given his salary.

Alfredo Pedulla meanwhile confirms that Musah isn’t unsellable, but the Rossoneri need at least €30m – including bonuses, but easily achievable – to give the green light. Napoli enquired in the last 72 hours, but for now, they’ve decided not to follow through.

We’ll see if they change their minds, but Nottingham Forest – who are in talks but are currently finalising other deals – have made an offer that for now isn’t close to the figure Milan would like, so things remain ‘in a standstill phase’.
