There are concerns regarding Strahinja Pavlovic’s ability to feature for AC Milan against Como later this week, after his collision against Fiorentina this weekend.
Few players have improved as much as Pavlovic this season; it is undeniable. Last season, he was on the verge of being cast out, but Milan believed in the Serbian, and he remained at the club until the summer.
Now, since Massimiliano Allegri’s arrival, the central defender has improved significantly. Playing as the wide defender in a back three, he is able to combine his immense figure with both attacking and defensive traits to make him a real threat at both ends of the pitch.
Do without Pavlovic
It seems that Allegri may be forced to do without later this week, though. As MilanNews writes, his situation will be monitored daily to see whether he can play, after he received nine stitches above his eyebrow at the weekend.
La Gazzetta dello Sport, via MilanNews, also confirms those fears, stating that he is indeed a doubt for Thursday’s crucial game against Como. It is, of course, their game in hand, which they missed due to the game against Napoli in the Supercoppa.
Certainly touch and go for the Serbian, but he will be pushing to play.
