There have been undeniable changes at AC Milan since Massimiliano Allegri returned to the club. But how has it all happened?

A lot has been said about the things that have changed on the pitch for Milan, and there are four key things that many feel have caused the difference so far. They are noticeable too, which proves the work is being done.

If it were a case of tweaks, the Rossoneri would likely have been better last season, or worse now. Wholesale changes were needed, and they arrived.

How Allegri coaches

On the training ground, as La Repubblica writes via MilanPress, there are several things to analyse to see why Allegri may be getting the most from his team.

His coaching is like that of an NBA coach, with him delegating several tasks to his coaching staff. These are people that he trusts, and over the summer, it was added to further. An all-Italian workforce that each adds something to the team, and knows the dressing room well.

Then, order has been restored. Sergio Conceicao’s schedules were made on the day of training, whilst Allegri prefers a two-week rota. There is freedom in diets again, within reason, but everyone eats together, which was not the case when he arrived.

Maybe it is basic, but it works. Milan can see it clearly so far.
