Samuele Ricci has commented on AC Milan’s poor record away at Torino, which the midfielder helped cement during his time with Il Toro.
Milan will be up against Torino on Monday evening and while they are the favourites to win, the away record against Il Toro suggests something else. In the last 12 meetings at Stadio Grande Torino, in fact, the Rossoneri have only won once (6D, 5L).
In his lengthy interview with Tuttosport, Ricci was asked about the record and the fact that he helped Torino cement it: “It’s true, we always won and now that I’m on the other side of the fence, I say it’s all the more reason to try to reverse this trend,” he stated.
The fact that Milan now also have Massimiliano Allegri on their side should help, as he certainly knows what it’s like to face Torino at that stadium. In his first spell with Juventus, he managed four wins and one defeat, while he had two wins and one draw in his second spell.
With the Rossoneri, Allegri has one win and one draw in away clashes against Torino. Back to Ricci, he could potentially play the game from start, currently ahead of Ardon Jashari and Ruben Loftus-Cheek for the final midfield spot.
