Rio Ngumoha highlighted what Liverpool is set to lose when Andy Robertson leaves the club at the end of the season.
Robertson will exit the Merseyside club when his contract expires this summer, after a brilliant nine-year career with the Reds. During a Liverpool career that has seen him play over 350 times in all competitions, he has won two Premier League titles and a Champions League, as well as several other pieces of silverware.
As well as his world-class qualities as a left-back, his personality has also been a huge asset to the Liverpool squad for the best part of a decade. Ngumoha highlighted that in a recent interview with Sky Sports, in which he was asked to name his best friend in the Liverpool squad.

"Robbo is like a mentor almost, he really encourages me. Especially because he’s a left-back and I’m left wing, so he teaches me a lot and I think on the pitch we have a good bond. A real leader. He’s also funny."
Robertson announced his impending departure last week, and said that he was happy that the news was out in the open, so that he could focus on giving his all for the remainder of the season.
"I think I feel better now that it’s out in the open," Robertson said. "The hardest bit [in] the last certainly couple of weeks and months is some people that are close to me in the training ground don’t know and more importantly, the fans.

"The closer it gets, the more and more questions you start to get. I’ve always said that the fans are the most important people at this club and I just think now is the time to tell them what’s going on and that obviously this will be my last year.
"I just think it’s better being out in the open, that now I can fully focus on the team from now until the end of the season.
"I think it’s important that I do that, I’ve always done that. But the time to have the emotional farewell and tell the fans and the people connected to this club what they mean to me, that will come closer to the end.
"I don’t think I’m quite ready for that yet. It’s just to try to get it out there so I can now be open and honest with everyone."
