Ismael Bennacer may soon get a move away from AC Milan as a club in the Saudi Pro League have opened talks.
Bennacer joined Marseille on a six-month loan deal with an option to buy right at the end of the winter transfer window but he did not regularly and thus there were thus strong doubts about the buy-out being used.
There was talk of Milan being irritated by Bennacer’s decision to try and force an exit right at the end of the window, and when Marseille chose to let the option expire, the Algerian again became an issue to try and resolve.
Bennacer attracts Saudi interest
Fabrizio Romano has now given an update, stating: “Understand Al-Ittihad have opened talks with AC Milan for Ismael Bennacer as midfield option. Wendel from Zenit St Petersburg, another option in the shortlist with Al Ittihad keen on adding new midfielder this summer.”
Bennacer is clearly not a part of the plans even with the change in head coach to Massimiliano Allegri. The former Empoli man was left at home while the squad headed to the Far East for a preseason tour – along with Yacine Adli and Emerson Royal – which is an obvious sign that he can go.
