Axel Disasi has given full priority to joining AC Milan, who now must decide whether to sign the Chelsea outcast or not.
In addition to a striker, which ended up being Niclas Füllkrug (and possibly Jean-Philippe Mateta), a centre-back was a priority for Milan as they headed into the month. However, then Koni De Winter improved and the Rossoneri decided to take their foot off the gas.
However, the willingness to evaluate a centre-back addition has remained, with Milan waiting to see what last-minute opportunities would arise. By the sounds of it, the most concrete option for the final days is Axel Disasi.
Milan must decide
According to Fabrizio Romano, sharing an update on X, the 27-year-old has given full priority to joining Milan this window. He was more or less all set to join West Ham but a new approach from the Rossoneri led him to put everything on hold.
Currently, as the journalist concludes, Milan are in talks with both Chelsea and the entourage of Disasi, but they are yet to make a decision on whether to move forward or not. If they want to, the Rossoneri will be able to close the deal rather quickly.
In the meantime, West Ham are waiting to see what will happen with Milan’s interest, as they are still keen on securing the Frenchman.
