A number of clubs came forward to express their interest in signing Francesco Camarda before he renewed with AC Milan, it is claimed.
Camarda has been in the headlines over the past couple of days after he scored his first ever Serie A goal. Not only that, but it was en equaliser for Lecce in the third minute of added time to snatch a late draw, so there was added drama.

A video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel reveals the terms of Camarda’s loan to Lecce. The Giallorossi have an option to buy which has been agreed at €3m, with a possible €3.8m buy-back in Milan’s favour.
Appearance and goal bonuses can reach up to €500,000. Furthermore, the player’s wages will be paid by the Apulian club in fill. Modena also came forward to sign Camarda but the striker, along with his family, decided to choose Lecce.

Before renewing his contract with Milan, Manchester United, Roma and above all Borussia Dortmund were interested in signing the teenager. The German club were ‘very close’ to convincing the youngster, especially regarding their vision for his development.
In the end, however, his Milan faith prevailed and Camarda renewed his contract with the club that he grew up supporting. Now, the club must determine the way to help him realise his potential, with Saturday’s goal a good start.
