AC Milan have been offered Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, but at present a move to Saudi Arabia feels more likely.
It was announced in June by Igli Tare that one of his aims as the new sporting director is to give the head coach Massimiliano Allegri a top-level striker to complete the attacking department. A number of names have been linked, and Nunez is one that will not go away.
It was reported on Saturday that the former Benfica man is actually the number one target for the Rossoneri in their pursuit of a centre-forward. The costs make the operation difficult, but there have been talks with the player.
Nunez: Al-Hilal or AC Milan?
Fabrizio Romano spoke in a video on his YouTube channel and he gave an update on the future of the Uruguay international, confirming that Milan have been offered the chance to sign him, but with the asking price very high.

“Nunez has given his initial approval to speak with Al-Hilal. Simone Inzaghi has spoken directly with him,” he said (via MilanNews).
“At the moment there is still no agreement on the contract, while there shouldn’t be any problems with the agreement with Liverpool, which starts at a valuation of 70 million euros, but are willing to go down to 65 million. Al-Hilal hope to reach an agreement with the striker soon.
“Regarding the rumours about Milan, Nunez has been proposed to the Rossoneri, who have made their evaluations, but at the moment the Diavolo have not submitted an offer. Milan are focused on other operations.”
