For many, Christian Comotto was the star of the show as AC Milan beat Perth Glory 9-0 earlier on Wednesday, because of the way he played beyond his years.

Milan finished their Asia-Pacific tour with a few more certainties to rely on and one of the pleasant surprises was Comotto, who is just 17 years of age but is already believed to have gained the attention of Massimiliano Allegri.

In the game today in Western Australia the central midfielder won a penalty and converted from the spot with a beautiful lob. In his 45 minutes played he also had 97% pass accuracy, two key passes, 36 touches, none passes into final third, four interceptions and four of five ground duels won.

Spezia beckons for Comotto

Fabrizio Romano, in a video on his YouTube channel, confirmed the reports that Comotto’s future has already been decided, at least for next season.

“Milan has a verbal agreement with Spezia for the player’s loan for next year, to give top priority to ensuring Comotto can play consistently: this is everyone’s wish. Upon Milan’s return from the tour, they expect this deal to be finalized verbally, too,” he said (via MilanNews).

“Clearly, Comotto is performing so well that we’re not ruling out any scenario. However, Milan currently has a verbal agreement with Spezia, and it’s expected that Comotto will play in Serie B next season, a formative season with Spezia where many have already performed well.”
