This afternoon, Fabrizio Romano has reported that AC Milan have tabled a new offer much closer to the asking price for Ardon Jashari.
The midfielder’s future has taken over the Milan news this summer. In a way, it is very similar to the pursuit of Youssouf Fofana. A player that the Rossoneri sought, but had no interest in playing the valuation from the club.
Eventually, though, after a few offers, the Diavolo swallowed their pride and paid the price requested. Now, it seems something similar is happening with Jashari. Whether the outcome will remain the same, though, remains something entirely separate.
Milan close the gap
As Romano reports on X, the club have submitted a new bid worth €38.5 million, including bonuses. That is broken into a fixed fee of €33.5m – a €1m increase on the previous offer – and then €5m in add-ons. However, there is no explanation of the achievability of these clauses.

It is certainly a better offer, and from this morning’s interview from Igli Tare, it is the last offer that Milan will table. In fact, the sporting director has stated that this feels like a bid that matches his value. If it had not already descended into something a little mad, it has the potential to now.
