This evening, it has been reported that AC Milan have begun to make a move for a Croatian defender currently playing for Bayern Munich’s youth squad.
It is no secret that Milan are looking to sign a defender this month, but they are not just focusing on the first team. Already, they have tried to make a move for Juwensley Onstein, and with that move breaking down, they have begun to pursue another target.
Talks open for Puljic
So, as Fabrizio Romano reports, the new name in focus is Ljubo Puljic, the 18-year old defender currently playing for FC Bayern II. Considered a talent for the future, it is probable that he would head straight to the Milan Futuro project.
With the move for Onstein, who was deemed one of the most exciting Dutch talents available currently, breaking down, it is clear that the Rossoneri are looking to get ahead of time and invest in potential sooner rather than later.
With Puljic already playing for the Bayern second team, the embedding period should be shorter, which will only be a good thing for the future.
It will not be a straightforward move, though, as ‘several clubs’ are also keen on the Croatian.
