Romano: Milan turned down lucrative offer from Napoli for Jimenez this summer

There has been plenty of interest in AC Milan players this summer, and there was a huge offer received from Napoli for Alex Jimenez.

This summer, Milan have done brilliantly in the outbound market. In fact, with the sale of Noah Okafor, the record sits near €200 million for the mercato, which is staggering. Reports suggested it was a summer ‘like no other’ and it is difficult to disagree.

Of course, there can be questions asked about incomings. However, with a reset needed, the Rossoneri have done the outbound market almost, if not perfectly.

Jimenez stays… for now

That figure can still grow, of course, too. Yunus Musah is a target for a few clubs, and Napoli who are one of the interested parties, have also tried to make a move for another Rossonero this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano, via Football Italia.

Considering Real Madrid’s buy-back clause next summer will only be worth €12m, there could be some risk that he returns to Spain, purely for profit. A difficult situation to be in.
